It may well be the successor to one of the world’s bestselling cars – the Corolla – but the Toyota Auris is setting new standards. This new family hatch is a joy to drive, with the revamped chassis, refined suspension and responsive steering all adding up to a composed but sporty ride.
Enjoyable to drive, its wide body and low floor mean there is ample head and legroom for a ride that’s comfortable for all. As well as possessing plenty of space inside the cabin, the boot offers 354 litres of cargo space. The 60:40 split rear seats can be folded in one touch, making it effortless and convenient when more space is required.
The flexible new Toyota Auris is available as a three or five-door model, and with a choice of five powertrains: the 1.33-litre VVT-i, 1.4-litre D-4D in manual or Multi Mode, and the 1.4-litre D-4D diesel in manual and automatic. The most frugal – the 1.4-litre D-4D manual – is capable of 58.85mpg.
