The new Toyota Prius is the original hybrid, benefitting from the world’s most advanced technology.

Toyota’s innovative Hybrid Synergy Drive system works by utilising the power of a 1.8-litre petrol engine and two electric motors. In EV only mode, the Prius can do 1.2 miles at 31mph. Unlike other EVs, when the Prius’ battery goes flat, the petrol engine kicks in to power the generator and recharge the battery. The combination of electric and petrol power ensures the Prius is capable of an impressive 72.4mpg on the combined cycle, emitting just 89g/km of CO₂.

Thanks to the beltless engine, the Prius offers a ride that is almost silent. Plus, the aerodynamic design means the new Toyota Prius is more fuel efficient, smoother to drive and more agile. If that’s not enough, the Prius also comes with Intelligent Parking Assist (IPA), keyless entry and solar powered ventilation as standard.

The new Toyota Prius also has the lowest warranty costs of any Toyota. The Hybrid Synergy Drive system is covered by an eight-year, 100,000-mile warranty, while Toyota’s standard five-year warranty also applies.
