Steven Eagell Toyota is proud to announce the successful funding of Transitions UK, securing £1,800 from Toyota's Fund For A Better Tomorrow. Working with disadvantaged youth aged 14 to 25 throughout the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and North London areas, Transitions UK supports at risk young people who face challenging economic and social circumstance, mental health issues and disabilities, helping to ensure a transition to healthy and happy adult lives.
Yanis Kapitanis, our Business Centre Manager and LCV Specialist, made the application for the funds and personally presented the cheque at a charity meal, saying that he "was delighted when the application was approved by Toyota UK. I have worked closely with the chairman of Transitions UK Ron Overton, who has worked hard to provide a better future for disadvantaged youth. Having heard of the difficult problems the young people under his care have endured, I felt I needed to try and help. It was a great privilege for my wife and myself to be invited as special guests to the dinner evening to present the cheque for £1,800. It was also a privilege to meet some of the young people with learning disabilities, mental health problems and family problems. I hope as a local business we can continue to provide support for such a good cause."
Established in 2012, Toyota's Fund For A Better Tomorrow is focused on delivering exactly this kind of meaningful development and opportunity. Enabling UK dealers such as Steven Eagell to help build a brighter future for all, over 200 projects have received support with over £350,000 donated in the last 3 years alone.
Speaking on behalf of Transitions UK, Chief Executive Ron Overton said "we are extremely pleased to have formed a partnership with Steven Eagell Toyota and delighted to have received a donation of £1,800 from Toyota’s Fund For A Better Tomorrow. Transitions UK supports young people to make an effective transition towards independence and positive futures. This kind and generous donation will support over 30 young people in Luton who have learning disabilities and special needs. As a local charity dependent upon gifts and donations for all our work, we could not be more grateful. Thank you so much."
Steven Eagell works actively to contribute to our local communities and we are thrilled to support Transitions UK's vision, breaking the cycle of disadvantage through supportive relationships and personal development. Steven Eagell, our founder and Managing Director commented, "congratulations to Transitions UK on their successful application to the Toyota Fund for a Better Tomorrow. We are always happy to help and support great causes in the communities we serve, and we wish Ron and the team every success with the project".
